Zell am See is an Austrian town on the shores of Lake Zell, south of Salzburg. As Zell am See lies at the foot of the Schmittenhöhe mountain, the town is the ideal holiday destination for winter sports fans from October to April. The Schmittenhöhe ski area is also one of the most popular in the Salzburg region.
