Saint-Jean-de-Sixt is not strictly speaking a ski resort. However, there is a green slope in the Crêt sector. Served by a snow wire, it is perfect for beginners. There is also a free toboggan run behind the town hall, where you can have a blast on the slopes. You can then choose between the ski areas of La Clusaz and Le Grand-Bornand for the ultimate in downhill skiing and snowboarding. The La Clusaz ski resort gives you access to 225 kilometres of downhill ski runs and 80 kilometres of cross-country ski runs. A benchmark in the world of freestyle, La Clusaz has a snowpark with modules for all levels. The Grand-Bornand ski area is another option to consider. The resort's ski pass offers 45 runs for all the family. Cross-country skiing is not forgotten either, with a Nordic area totalling 60 kilometres.
