The resort of Pila
A small village in the Valle d'Aosta, Pila is an authentic ski resort where life is good. Get ready for a one-on-one holiday with the highest peaks in the Alps! A winter sports holiday in Pila means adding a dose of 'dolce vita' to your skiing holiday. Perched at an altitude of 1,765 metres, this village lies at the heart of the famous Aosta Valley. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the warm après-ski atmosphere is just as suitable for family outings as it is for more festive evenings with friends. Skiing in Pila
The Pila ski area is extremely versatile. The ski pass opens the door to 70 kilometres of pistes divided into 33 routes. With 5 blue runs, 24 red runs and 4 black runs, this ski area will particularly delight experienced skiers. Freestylers will be able to multiply their jumps and tricks on the snowpark modules, which stretch for 600 metres along the Grimod piste. The resort also has a secure freeride slope, the Platta de Grevon, at an altitude of 2700 metres. Finally, for descents punctuated by giggles, head for the Chacard FunPark where sledges and snowtubing will provide fun for all the family.
Activities in Pila
Once the Pila ski area closes, there's plenty to do in the resort. For après-ski, restaurants, bars and pubs will welcome all tribes for their relaxing breaks. For mountain lovers, a snowshoe hike or a hot-air balloon flight will allow you to discover the hidden treasures of Pila. Throughout the season, the resort's children's clubs organise creative workshops, snacks and activities specially for youngsters. Full details are available from the tourist office.
