Madesimo is an Italian ski resort situated at an altitude of between 1,550 and 3,000 metres, ideal for winter sports. The resort has 43 slopes suitable mainly for beginners and intermediate skiers, as well as 13 ski lifts that will take you to the heart of the resort and two snowparks for snowtrotters, snowboarders and freestyle skiers. The Madesimo village also offers a host of non-skiing activities to make the most of your stay. Our ski hire shops are located at the foot of the resort to provide you with all the equipment you need.

The resort of Madesimo

On the border with Switzerland, the Madesimo ski resort lies at 1550 metres in Italy's Sluga Valley. Reaching an altitude of 3,000 metres, it is a safe bet for the quality of the snow. The resort not only boasts a diverse landscape, but also a wide range of activities. The resort is part of the Valchiavenna ski area, which offers a wide choice of slopes. Beginners, advanced skiers and freeriders are all welcome, and here you're sure to receive a warm welcome from the locals.

Skiing in Madesimo

After choosing your equipment at our ski hire shop in Madesimo, head to the Madesimo ski resort giving access to 13 lifts and 37 kilometres of pistes. The ski resort has fast, modern lifts, so you can make the most of your skiing days. The pistes in this area are mainly blue and red, but experienced skiers can also ski down the few black runs. Snowboarders will find what they're looking for at MadePark, an area specially dedicated to this activity. For freeriders and ski tourers, the Canalone di Madesimo itinerary offers 3 kilometres of downhill runs within the ski area. For those looking for a change of scenery, the Madesimo ski resort is part of the Valchiavenna ski area, giving you the chance to ski in other areas.

Activities in Madesimo

At nightfall, the ski area is equipped with slopes dedicated to night skiing. Take advantage of these unique moments to discover the mountain at sunset. In addition to downhill skiing, the resort is equipped with 12 kilometres of cross-country ski runs located on a plateau offering panoramic views of the various peaks. There is also a large ice-skating rink in the lower part of the ski area. This activity is ideal for spending quality time with family and friends. You can also try the Italian culinary specialities on offer in the various restaurants and bars at altitude - there's something for everyone! Finally, discover the charm of the village of Madesimo with its shops, tourist office, ski hire shops and restaurants.
