Located on the eastern slopes of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, at an altitude of 1400 metres, the Mongie resort is on France's largest ski area in the Pyrenees: the Grand Tourmalet (68 runs). At the foot of the Pic du Midi de Bigorre, the ski resort of La Mongie lies at an altitude of between 1400 and 2500 metres. It offers a magnificent view of the Pic du Midi and benefits from plenty of sunshine thanks to its orientation. Located in the Grand Tourmalet ski area, La Mongie resort provides access to 70 marked runs spread over 100 kilometres and 1100 metres of vertical drop. Snow cover is guaranteed thanks to the resort's high altitude (up to 2,500 metres) and 34 ski lifts providing ski-to-door access to the resort. Beginner skiers can improve their technique on the gentle slopes at the bottom of the resort. For thrill-seekers, there are plenty of off-piste itineraries, conditions permitting. The ski area has a free-ride area at the top with 2 snowparks.

Activities in La Mongie

The resort of La Mongie offers a range of activities to make the most of your stay: try your hand at snowmobiling, take a family dog-sleigh ride or try your hand at paragliding. For cross-country skiers, there are two ski areas where you can practice your favourite sport. There are also a number of relaxation centres in the resort, ideal after a day's sport.
