The resort of Bormio 2000

The Bormio 2000 ski resort lies between 1,225 metres and 3,000 metres above sea level, in the village of Bormio, in Upper Valtellina. The resort is primarily renowned for ski competitions, and for some years now the village of Bormio has been included in the calendar of the International Ski Federation. Bormio also hosted the International Ski Federation's World Championships in 1985 and 2005. At Bormio 2000, the high-altitude restaurants, ski hire shops and bars are sure to welcome you.

Skiing in Bormio 2000

After choosing your equipment in your Bormio 2000 ski rental shop, head for the cable car in the village, which will take you directly to the ski resort. You'll have direct access to 6 facilities. The Bormio 2000 ski resort has 18 pistes, or 50 kilometres of skiing, and 15 lifts in all. There are blue runs, red runs and black runs. The Bormio 2000 ski resort is accessible to beginners and advanced skiers alike, despite its reputation for competitive skiing. Snow sports are mainly practised on the slopes, with freeride being fairly strictly regulated. Nevertheless, the ski area has invested in a 15,000 square metre Snowpark with a variety of obstacles: rails, tales, jumps, pipes... thrills are guaranteed!

Activities in Bormio 2000

Enjoy night skiing in the ski area thanks to the many floodlit slopes that let you discover snow sports from a different angle. What's more, the Bormio 2000 ski area gives you the chance to practice cross-country skiing thanks to its 10-kilometre-long loop located near the Bormio 2000 cable car. The village of Bormio is renowned for its thermal centres with saunas, spas, hot springs and swimming pools. This spa offers long, well-deserved moments of relaxation after days on the slopes. In the evenings, the village is adorned with numerous shops where you can discover the Italian way of life thanks to its rich heritage. You can also enjoy a meal in one of the restaurants, where you can discover the typical cuisine of the region.
