French ski resorts : news

This winter ski Flaine!

For this winter's ski, choose the Flaine ski resort in Haute Savoie, with its trails designed by Emile Allais; they follow the natural mountain landscape and offer a great variety of possibilities:  beginning skiers or seasoned pro, free-stylers or free-riders… everyone can indulge in his/her sport! Further, this season, the resort offers numerous new services to facilitare the skier's experience or to offer greater, more varied after-ski events.

So, the Grand Massif ski area continues to renew its lifts with the replacement of the Aup de Véran gondola, with quicker access to the Aup de Véran and even greater comfort for the passengers.  In keeping with its “Objectif Neige“ (Snow Goal), the area increased the number of snow guns on the Mephisto run in the Aup de Véran sector, as well as the number of snow cats. Finally, this new ski season saw the creation of a snow park for beginners:  the International Ski School also put in three high quality training modules to create an easy slope for test runs before hitting the Flaine snow park.  The Rail, Box and Wall will also be open to all beginners: freestyle, ski or board.

Good to know: the Flaine ski area will be open from December 15, 2012, to April 28, 2013, depending on snow conditions and a Skimium partner shop is at your service so you can rent your skis online and pick them up when you arrive in the resort.
