Tignes is a festive and sporty ski resort! For the pure pleasure of ski lovers, the Espace Killy ski area proposes 185 miles of trails of all levels, spread between 5,000 and 11,000 feet altitude. To vary one’s pleasures, there are also six slalom runs, a mogul slope, two snow parks, and a glide park. And to vary activities, the resort is full of possibilities : helicopter skiing, snowmobiling, ice diving, driving on ice, ski joering, hang-gliding, rock climbing, dog sledding, x-country biking in the snow, ice karting, ice skating… impossible to be bored in Tignes!
This year again, for the third time, the Tignes resort welcomes the latest edition of the Winter X Games Tignes, from March 14-16, 2012! Started in 1995, in Rhode Island, the X Games exist in a summer and winter version, and are the reference in terms of extreme sports. In the winter, the principle continues to bring together the best athletes of these alternate disciplines, Super Pipe, Slope style or snowmobiling, for competitions of a very high level. The event gives rise to large gatherings of fans, who are as passionate about the competitions as the lively evenings with outdoor concerts and parties in the resort’s bars and night clubs to keep the X Games spirit going well into the night!
