Ski Tignes and one of the best snow parks in Europe

In Tignes, there’s something for everyone: the winter ski season is one of the longest stretching from September to May, there are 100 miles of runs, lift-served off-piste runs, and lots of varied terrain, with swift access to Val d’Isère. Intermediate and advanced skiers are well-served, but freestylers and riders will also feel at home since Tignes was one of the first resorts to welcome and promote alternative types of skiing. This year, Tignes will once again host the Winter X-Games from March 20-22, 2013.

Made famous by the X Games, the Tignes snow park is considered to be one of the best in Europe offering something for all levels over the ski area’s different sectors. The Swatch Snow Park in Tignes Val Claret is rapidly accessed by the Grattalu chair and is equipped with a “Shoot my Ride” video system. Riders can check themselves out on a giant screen in the Swatch Cool Zone by the airbag finish and then download the video of their exploits through the wifi connection to share with friends (and family!) Ski cross enthusiasts can choose between the Easy Border area or the Gliss’Park on the Millonex piste. There’s also the new Big Airbag jump. And seasoned riders can test themselves on the X-Games Super Pipe at Val Claret.
