A family ski resort in the northern French Alps, Saint Jean d’Arves will enthrall visitors looking for authenticity and friendliness, who appreciate grandiose panoramas and quiet. The resort is linked to the Sybelles, the number one ski area in the Maurienne Valley: the resort offers 195 miles of linked trails between 3600 and 8600 feet altitude. Starting from Saint Jean d’Arves – La Chal, there are three different types of passes available: the mini area adapted to beginners, Saint Jeand’Arves / Le Corbier and its 56 miles of trails, and the Sybelle ski area. This last one offers along with its slopes of all levels, 2 snow parks with 30 some modules, an Arva park, slopes reserved for boarders, and ski touring trails. One can cross-country ski, snow shoe, sled or snow mobile, hang glide or para-glide for the first time... and to liven up your evenings, on Friday, December 28, 2012, the Saint Jean d’Arves resort invites you to take part, either as a spectator or a participant, in the 4th edition of the all mountain ski night relay race. This 2-skier team relay will take place over a night course of 394 feet in elevation. Each skier must complete three loops: the participants climb along the Lièvre slope, take their skins off at the top, slalom down the baby slope, cross the snow front, and skin up before handing off. Meet up in Saint Jean d’Arves to participate in this night relay race and take advantage of the pleasures of a warm and friendly ski resort.
