Sunday, March 11, 2012, in La Rosière, one can participate in the French Mogul Ski Cup, a spectacular competition, and take advantage of the San Bernardo Espace, the resort’s ski area.
Perched at 6070 feet of altitude, the La Rosière ski resort welcomes skiers in a snow white decor where chalets of wood and stone peek through… a luminous landscape, of a beauty that is jagged and striking, like the icicles that drip from the balconies and decorate the roofs of the chalets. Located between the Mont Blanc and the Tarentaise, the resort offers one of the most beautiful shows! The resort also gives access to the San Bernardo Espace, a ski area that is seductive by its diversity where all forms of skiing and gliding are allowed. With a southern exposure, the area has an exceptional level of sun which adds to the pleasure of racing down the slopes.
It is in this enchanting environment that on Sunday, March 11, 2012, the French Mogul Ski Cup, an Olympic discipline since 1992, will take place. An event where champions such as Eric Berthon, Edgar Grospiron, Candide Gig or Sandra Laoura made themselves famous. It is a spectacular discipline: skiers race down a slope of moguls as quickly as they can and make two successful jumps along the course. The jumps are an opportunity for riders to make simple jumps or jumps with a vertical or horizontal spin. Rating for each descent is based on time (25%), jumps (25%), and style (50%). It’s easy to bet that the skiers who will meet up for this French Cup will give the best of themselves and that the show will rise to the occasion in La Rosière!
