It’s an event not to be missed by lovers of ski and cinema! From December 10 to 17, 2011, the Arcs ski resort welcomes the third edition of the European Film Festival. This important cultural rendez-vous intends to promote the diversity of European film and to have viewers discover numerous new talents. For the past three years, the festival takes place in the heart of the Alps, in one of the most beautiful ski areas in the world, for an invitation to take advantage of both the first snows and film sessions all along the day in the presence of their directors and actors. A festive ambiance, unforgettable evenings, events, concerts and DJs will give life to the resort!
This year’s programme, unedited in France, is once again ambitious : composed of over 60 feature films from all of Europe (including Turkey and Russia) and projected in the resort’s 7 cinemas. It will be the occasion to preview, among others, 6 important European films, 12 official competitors for the Cristal Arrow (won last year by the film “A Somewhat Gentleman” by Hans Petter Moland), 12 Italian films in the Country Focus 2011 dedicated to Italy, this edition’s guest of honour... The Arcs’ European Film Festival is also a professional meeting place which brings together numerous guests from the world of cinema (directors, film crews, European cinematographic schools, producers, distributors, ...).
In Les Arcs, from December 10 to 17, alternate the black screen and white slopes, and abandon yourself to the pleasures of ski and the seventh art. Take advantage of an exceptional ski area, a stunning panorama, and novel cinematographic encounters.
